Shane is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK. He also served as the Manager for Strategic Planning at a local institute, a consultant at AR Capital Advisory Pvt Ltd a boutique investment advisory firm and as the Head of Strategic Planning and a Senior Lecturer at a college for higher education. He worked as a trainee audit executive at KPMG Sri Lanka conducting statutory audits and also as an equity research analyst at Asia Capital Plc a well renowned domestic investment bank covering diversified and manufacturing sectors in the Colombo Stock Exchange.
He isthe registered mentor for the OxfordBrookesDegree Program. Thilina also distinguished himself as a Sri Lankan Prize Winner in ACCA with a world rank 13 for the subject Advanced Financial Management. He is also a Fellow Member ofAssociation ofChartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK, a Member of Institute of Certified Management Accountants (CMA) Sri Lanka and a Graduate from the University of Oxford Brookes (UK) with Upper Second Class Honours. Thilina is a CFA Charterholder and a Chartered Member of Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI) UK. He has also been involved in training programs in Maldives and has been a corporate trainer in Dubai. Thilina counts over nine years of experience in lecturing finance and management related subjects for ACCA, CIMA, CISI and CFA Program. He also provides advisory and consultancy services on an ad hoc basis to the Supply Chain Management function of a leading telecommunication services provider in Sri Lanka. Hashan also visits Christ University in Bangalore (India) regularly as a guest lecturer for CIMA. He is currently the managing partner of IDS Management services which provides taxation and business consultancy services to clients in Sri Lanka, as well as the Managing Director of King Tea Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, a tea exporting company.įurther, Hashan is a senior lecturer at Imperial College of Business Studies (ICBS), a leading CIMA and ACCA educational services provider in Sri Lanka. Hashan commenced his corporate career as a freelancing market researcher for Lanka Market Research Bureau (LMRB). Hashan is a lecturer as well as an active corporate citizen, having experience in a number of diverse fields.
He is also an ACCA affiliate where he managed to secure the global prize for ACCA Paper P5.
Hashan completed CIMA in 2011 and is currently a member (ACMA/CGMA). Hashan has coached over 1,000 students globally for CIMA case studies since 2015. He has produced a number of national prizes for CIMA case studies in India and Sri Lanka. Hashan is the co-founder and lead tutor of LCI Academy.
